	Joe Bonamassa - Sloe Gin ($13.99) [SLOE GIN effortlessly ranges through heavy blues and acoustic numbers alike, a textured flow that Bonamassa says was in part inspired by Rod Stewart's legendary 1969 debut solo LP. In the liner notes, Joe adds, 'I sequenced the album as a throwback to the side A/side B set-up of vinyl records...listening to an album as a whole is a lost pastime. i wanted to bring that experience back around. Renowned for this fluid phrasing and post-modern fusion of traditional roots blues with rock and roll guts, Bonamassa began playing guitar at age four, and toured with blues icon B.B. King when he was twelve. Recently, Joe was named Best Blues Guitarist in Guitar Magazine's 2007 Reader's Choice Awards. He is also the youngest member of the Memphis, TN-based Blues Foundation's Board of Directors, and a spokesperson for their respected Blues in the Schools Program. ]
	Robben Ford - Truth ($13.99) [Not to be confused with Jeff Beck's identically titled 1968 album of crackling blues-rock fusion, this disc incorporates Robben Ford's unique blend of blues and jazz, but not rock. His first studio outing in four years shoehorns his traditionally biting, incisive-yet-clean guitar licks into songs that can't easily be pigeonholed. The opening easygoing Chicago shuffle of 'Lateral Climb' is about as bluesy as it gets. The tune kick-starts the proceedings with a blazing solo that will have guitar fans salivating that this is finally the release where Ford opens up on his instrument. But the set shifts into a distinctive blend of R&B, jazz, smooth blues, and pop that displays the multitalented musician's strengths as a supple, subtle, and inviting vocalist as well as an intermittently skillful songwriter. ]
	Bruce Hornsby/Jack Dejohnette/Christian - Camp Meeting ($13.99) [Who knew that pianist/composer Bruce Hornsby, the popsmith of the hit 'The Way it Is' and the bluegrass collaborator with Ricky Skaggs, was a jazz sleeper agent since his college days? On this 11-track recording, Hornsby's 'Bill Evans-meets-the-hymnbook' pianism is buoyed by Christian McBride's brotherly-loving bass lines and Jack DeJohnette's Big Easy/Windy City drumming. The leader easily digs deep into the Negroidal rhythmic gravity we call swing. Check out the light-speed lyricism he lays down on the previously unrecorded Ornette Coleman number 'Questions and Answers,' the drum 'n' bass rendition of Coltrane's 'Giant Steps,' and the Meters-motored take on Miles Davis's 'Solar.' Keith Jarrett's ballad 'Death and a Flower' is played with reverence and restraint, and the downbeats on Thelonious Monk's 'Straight, No Chaser' and Bud Powell's 'Celia' and 'Un Poco Loco' dont do injustice to their bebop roots.]
	Kinski - Down Below It's Chaos ($9.99) [Kinski is a four-piece rock band from Seattle, WA. Their unique evocation of avant-rock is deconstructionist and heady, but also emotive and visceral. NME described Kinski as: Like Sabbath in a washing machine during a power surge. Comprised of guitarists Chris Martin and Matthew Reid-Schwartz (Matthew also plays keyboards and flute), bassist Lucy Atkinson, and drummer Barrett Wilke, Kinski have toured with Mission of Burma, Comets on Fire, Oneida, Mono, Acid Mothers Temple, Black Mountain, and most recently opened a month of dates for Tool on their spring 07 tour.
