	Derailers - Under the influence of Buck ($10.99) [The Derailers came along in the 90's with a hybrid of Bakersfield country and 60's rock and roll with the end results being astonishing. Big guitars and great songs made them stand out to both country and rock fans. This is music with grit and polish at the same time. Their albums should be essential listening to any music fan but the real treat is seeing them live. The Derailers take you to another dimension where you, the band and their music become one...they are that good !]
	Robben Ford - Truth ($13.99) [Not to be confused with Jeff Beck's identically titled 1968 album of crackling blues-rock fusion, this disc incorporates Robben Ford's unique blend of blues and jazz, but not rock. His first studio outing in four years shoehorns his traditionally biting, incisive-yet-clean guitar licks into songs that can't easily be pigeonholed. The opening easygoing Chicago shuffle of 'Lateral Climb' is about as bluesy as it gets. The tune kick-starts the proceedings with a blazing solo that will have guitar fans salivating that this is finally the release where Ford opens up on his instrument. But the set shifts into a distinctive blend of R&B, jazz, smooth blues, and pop that displays the multitalented musician's strengths as a supple, subtle, and inviting vocalist as well as an intermittently skillful songwriter. ]
	Bruce Hornsby/Jack Dejohnette/Christian - Camp Meeting ($14.99) [Who knew that pianist/composer Bruce Hornsby, the popsmith of the hit 'The Way it Is' and the bluegrass collaborator with Ricky Skaggs, was a jazz sleeper agent since his college days? On this 11-track recording, Hornsby's 'Bill Evans-meets-the-hymnbook' pianism is buoyed by Christian McBride's brotherly-loving bass lines and Jack DeJohnette's Big Easy/Windy City drumming. The leader easily digs deep into the Negroidal rhythmic gravity we call swing. Check out the light-speed lyricism he lays down on the previously unrecorded Ornette Coleman number 'Questions and Answers,' the drum 'n' bass rendition of Coltrane's 'Giant Steps,' and the Meters-motored take on Miles Davis's 'Solar.' Keith Jarrett's ballad 'Death and a Flower' is played with reverence and restraint, and the downbeats on Thelonious Monk's 'Straight, No Chaser' and Bud Powell's 'Celia' and 'Un Poco Loco' dont do injustice to their bebop roots.]
	Juliette And The Licks - Four on the floor ($10.99) [Second full-length album (and third release overall) from this Alterna-Rock band fronted by actress Juliette Lewis. Since the release of their debut album, the Licks have established an unshakable presence as a live act, then their first stable line-up brought with it the chance to develop as a song writing unit. Writing as they toured, the band concentrated on capturing their stage energy to provide a definitive Licks sound for the next record. Unfortunately, the departure of their drummer at the end of the year left them drummerless. Luckily, the road had also seen their paths cross with someone who would play an instrumental role in the most important chapter of their career - Foo Fighters front man and former Nirvana drummer, Dave Grohl. Originally brought in to play on demos the band recorded at his 606 Studio in California, Grohl extended his stay for the album.]
	Sean Kingston - Sean Kingston ($12.99) [Sean Kingston, a 17 year old native of Jamaica is not just a new face in popular music, he's accomplished the rare task of creating a new genre where rap, reggae, dancehall, pop, a touch of doo-wop and remarkable songwriting all combined into something totally fresh. Add in Sean's family roots which cite reggae king Buju Banton as his uncle and Jamaican legendary producer Jack Ruby as his grandfather and you have one of the most exciting debuts this year. ]
	Josh Rouse - Country Mouse City House ($10.99) [Since his debut record showcased a youthful Nebraskan with an open road of promise, on through the five albums that followed Josh Rouse has followed that road in dawdling, nomadic spurts across America and the Atlantic to Spain, where he now lives his life and makes his music. Annually, it seems, Rouse re-emerges to say hello, streaming his pop awareness and weaving stories in the simplicity of songs, always with an air of candor and reticence.]
	Still Remains - Serpent ($10.99) [Ask Still Remains, the young Grand Rapids, MI band, about what the last two years have been like and theyll begin by telling you how much theyve grown as people and musicians. Ive grown up a lot, explains vocalist T.J. Miller. I feel like Ive come into my own as a songwriter. I havent been afraid to write about things that I might have only alluded to on the last record. My lyrics have always been personal, but the new stuff is deeper, subjects I needed to and wanted to get out. Produced by Steve Evetts (Story Of The Year, Lifetime, Saves The Day) and mixed by Logan Mader (ex-Machine Head, ex-Soulfly guitars), The Serpent palatably demonstrates the culmination of the last two years of Still Remains efforts and experiences.]
	Zap Mama - Supermoon ($13.99) [A sprawling example of 'world groove,' Zap Mama's sixth album is further proof that in these interconnected times the musical world really is shrinking. Born in the Congo and raised in the French culture of Belgium, Zap Mama founder and driving force Marie Daulne has always ignored the barriers between musical genres like so many outdated speed limits on a dusty highway, but on Supermoon she dips into so many styles--Afropop, R&B, hip-hop, funk--as to reduce those barriers to a delightful irrelevancy. Helped by a smorgasbord of big-name collaborators--Me'shell N'degeocello, Tony Allen, and Spearhead's Michael Franti all guest for one track each]
