Anberlin - Cities ($12.99) [If you enjoyed 'Blueprints for the Black Market' and loved 'Never Take Friendship Personal', 'Cities' is the album that you've been waiting for. In a way, it's more of the same: the winning combo of 'Never Take Friendship Personal' with the raw energy of 'Blueprints[...]'. So, if you enjoyed their previous two albums, you're certain to like this one. There is, however, an evident maturity throughout. ]

Ataris - Welcome The Night ($12.99) [This album is mind-bogglingly good. A challenge of young pop-punk bands is to be able to get older and evolve writing into something that is a lot more mature. A lot of these bands keep writing the in the same style and it is just boring after so many albums. Basically all the Fat-Wreck bands write like this. There is nothing wrong with this, however, some bands choose to grow up. The Ataris are evolving along with my musical tastes exactly. ]

Bloc Party - Weekend in the City ($9.99) [The follow-up to their smash debut, 'Silent Alarm', is every bit as bright, powerful, and catchy, with the addition of more muscle, attitude, depth, and a bit of polish courtesy of their producer, Jacknife Lee (U2, Snow Patrol). Inspired by lead singer Kele Okereke's interest in what he calls 'the living noise of a metropolis', this record captures every detail of daily life in a modern city from the ebullient to the mundane. From the quiet desolation of commuting to casual sex, from going out on a Friday night to the long ride home early in the morning, these are songs desperate to understand the meaning that pulses under the moments of our every day. ]

Fall Out Boy - Infinity On High ($12.99) [We're living in a golden age of long song titles, and Fall Out Boy are leading the way. In the olden days, rock stars used parentheses and slashes to prove they were serious artists, refusing to reduce their verbiage for radio DJs or jukeboxes.]

Viktor Krauss - II ($13.99) [The compositions, the musicians, the production, all produce a release that should be award-winning and yet defies catagorization. The blend of roots/americana, jazz sensibility, and Nashville hot create a complete sound, all new yet seemingly familiar, almost traditional. This is masterful, modern 'fusion' that will appeal to both the musician who craves deep harmonic content and to the casual listener that just wants to relax and chill. The sum is greater than the parts and the parts (musicians) are incredible. ]

Van Morrison - Van Morrison At The Movies ($13.99) [If Hollywood's marriage with pop music is too often a marketing-driven shotgun affair, there remain musicians whose artistry can't help but elevate whatever film project they're associated with. This 19-track compendium underscores that notion, gathering a career-spanning collection of the Irish rock-R&B legend's contributions to an eclectic body of films that stretches from Pope of Greenwich Village's effusive early solo hit 'Jackie Wilson Said' to the unlikely live collaboration with Roger Waters on 'Comfortably Numb' that seasons Martin Scorsese's Oscar-nominated The Departed. The collection serves as a concise primer to the high points of Van Morrison's mercurial career, from the gritty career-breakout hits ('Gloria,' 'Baby Please Don't Go') of his British Invasion band Them through such early solo touchstones as 'Wild Night,' 'Brown Eyed Girl,' 'Domino,' and the collection's fine, previously unreleased live version of 'Moondance' from An American Werewolf in London. ]

Lucinda Williams - West ($10.99) [FREE with purchase is a RARE 'Exclusive Demo' while supplies lastThough the arrangements stray from Lucinda Williams's motherlode blend of blues, country, and folk, West may well be her best album. It is easily her most musically adventurous, and often her most lyrically inspired. Williams's singing has never sounded better, from the aching tenderness of 'Where Is My Love?' to the ravaged catharsis of 'Unsuffer Me.' ]
