Be Good Tanyas - Hello Love ($11.99) [When it comes to their third disc, Hello Love, the subtle delights are all there, from the goose-bump creating vocals of co-frontwoman Frazey Ford on the title track, to the trio's bluegrass-laden instrumentation ('Little Blues' 'Crow Waltz'), which provides listeners with an invitation to a Be Goods back porch jam. As is the band's way, there is an abundance of compelling cover tunes, from a Tanya-esque take on Neil Young's 'For the Turnstiles' to a revisit of the underappreciated Sean Hayes's 'Thousand Tiny Pieces.' The originals, however, stand up equally well.]

Beck - Information ($12.99) [Three years in the making, THE INFORMATION is the album Beck began work on in 2003 with producer Nigel Godrich (Radioheads OK Computer, Kid A; Becks Sea Change, Mutations) and finally completed this year once Gueros massive success and encore touring engagements, as well as Nigels other commitments, were fulfilled. ]

Jimmy Buffett - Take The Weather With You ($12.99) [Jimmy has walked away from the country sound ala License to Chill, and gone back to his fan favorite Trop Rock Sound. Stand outs are Dukes on Sunday, Cinco de Mayo in Memphis, Reggabilly Hill, Weather With You, Nothin' but a Breeze,Silver Wings,Hula Girl at Heart, Party at the End of the World, and the outstanding Breathe in, Breathe out, Move On. So as you can tell that is most of the album, so that has to say something. Best album since Banana Wind, 9.5 out of 10, enough said.]

Evanescence - Open Door ($12.99) [Evanescence has promised us a bigger, better album, and this album it shows. They've clearly pushed all of their limits and the used all the talents they could. Amy used her powerful voice much more than on Fallen. The vocal was just utterly amazing and gave the album sort of a dream-like, gothic-powerful, carefree and windy feeling.]

Primus - They cant all be zingers: Best Of ($11.99) [Let's be realistic for a second: There are two ways to wrap up a band's career in the now-essential career-spanning compilation. One is to let the music do the talking and resort to natural selection, letting the best songs pop up. The other's more democratic: Skim the best of each album and slap together a survey course of the band's history. The former's better suited to honoring a band's output.]

Robert Randolph & Family Band - Colorblind ($13.99) [On Colorblind, the third album from Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews, and Leela James join for a jam-packed, emotion-filled, good-time party mix of funk, soul, rock, gospel, and blues. ]

Scissor Sisters - Ta-Dah ($10.99) [Since not liking the Scissor Sisters is tantamount to not liking fun, let's just assume that everyone already adores this band and go on from there, OK? The Sisters' hotly anticipated second full-length feel like a streamlined continuation of their debut. It's hard to imagine no one had ever called an album Ta Dah! before, but then these sexy troubadours have no trouble subtly reworking the past to make it almost-new and always joyous.]

Shiny Toy Guns - We Are Pilots ($8.99) [shiny toy guns .. the new album now availaible through stormwest international featuring LE DISKO, RAINY MONDAY and 13 other movements reflecting every possible emotion. Combining unforgettable melodies and lyrics with a unique blend of analog synthesis and guitars the band continues to move around and through their stamped liason as america's newest one-of-a-kind rock/pop quartet. ]

Mindy Smith - Long Island Shores ($12.99) [With her expressively breathy vocals and uplifting melodies, Mindy Smith expresses both the romantic and spiritual dimensions of rapture. It can occasionally be hard to tell whether Smith is singing of God or love, or if she even makes a distinction between the two. Whether she's invoking prayer and sin in the opening 'Out Loud,' hoping that God's looking out for her in 'Out of Control,' casting a seductive charmer as a 'Little Devil,' or recalling her preacher father in the title track, Smith's material blurs the distinction between the earthly and the ethereal.]
