There comes that time in everyone’s life to say “That’s Enough”
First & foremost, Skip & Sue would like thank the thousands and thousands of customers who have shopped at the store for the past 30 years…..each and every one of you made a difference in our lives, along with all the incredible employees that we have had….every day at work was a special day and always rewarding….for the past 30 years plus….I have been the luckiest man in the world to be able to wake up and never feel that I HAD to go to work…..work was Sue & mine’s personal playground. We have spent half our lives at the store…..over 30 years!
It is with very mixed emotions and sadness that we have decided to retire at this time and liquidate the store. Skip’s Records & CD World has been very good to us over the years and we would just like to thank everyone that ever stepped through those doors…..we have made many friends that will continue to be friends, we have raised all 3 of our kids at the store and looking back, I don’t think we would have changed a thing….We also would like to thanks our employees, past and present, have been like family and are the most dedicated, knowledgeable, friendly staff any employer could ever hope for. None of this would have been possible without any of you! You will always be like family to us.
There will be a storewide liquidation sale that starts on Friday – July 5th and will run until further notice…please stay tuned on our Facebook and Instagram accounts for discounts and dates….Everything must go….Inventory, racks, fixtures, everything……if you are interested in any of the non-stock items that we may have, you can email me or stop in the store and talk to me direct … starting Friday July 5th – we will be open Tuesday thru Sunday from 10 to 6 and closed on every Monday (Or if you want to open your OWN store, now would be a great time to get stuff cheap)
This was one of the hardest decisions that Sue & I have ever made……but it’s time……for many many reasons that I don’t need to go into here……we have talked about retirement for the past 3 years and every time the decision was to stay open and lose money ….not only to keep our employees in jobs, but also to try and not disappoint the general public……but that time has come for us to retire.
Please don’t be sad, everything comes to an end sometime and PLEASE – after we are gone and closed….please continue to support the House Of Records, they are great people!
Peace & here’s to the future, whatever that may bring
